This is an excellent women owned and operated business in the Littleton area. I used their 30 walk service and could not be happier with the job Melany did! She came over and met my dog and I to get familiar with her and the house. I needed a dog walk for 5 days in the same week. Melany came over during the window I needed and sent me pictures every day. My dog is a bit shy and nervous of strangers, and each day I could see in the pics she got more comfortable each day. I highly recommend this company and plan to use them in the future!

Michelle D.4 days agoWe recently used Distinctive Pet Care for a short get-away. After one of our cats developed seizures and needed to be medicated on a regimented daily schedule, we thought travel might no longer be possible. What a godsend the dedicated and caring people at DPC are! The communication with the owner Dawn has been timely, and she made the process easy. Teri was our first sitter, and she was fabulous with our 2 skittish felines. Every day, Teri sent very detailed updates and pictures. Our hearts were bursting with satisfaction with this company. It is first rate. Everything about the scheduling and payment process is seamless. We recently had a meet & greet with Dorie who was equally fabulous and will sit for the cats soon. It is everything to know our girls are well cared for by such great people. Thank you DPC!

Karen V.4 days agoWe are so pleased to have found Distinctive Pet Care. We just had our first experience with Teri a few weeks ago, and we couldn’t be more pleased. One of the cats has several medical issues, and Teri never missed a step in administering her medications. After such a great experience, we have already scheduled 2 more get-aways with Dorie as Teri was already booked. It gives us great comfort that our girls are in very caring and capable hands. Margaret M246 days agoKatie was very dependable and kept me informed during her visits with my dogs. One of my dogs is reactive, but Katie had no problems and she handled both boys very well. Easy to use app for scheduling and communication. I shall certainly use their service again!

They take such great care of our dog, communicate very well and are flexible with our growing dogs’ needs. I have immense peace of mind knowing he’s in great hands for his day time walks

Terri Holland80 days agoI really like this service for getting my dog out when I can’t be there in a timely manner. Katie gained my dogs confidence quickly and now they are besties. They have a great system for letting you know when and where they walked. Kind of $$ but you get what you pay for!

Dawn Gould100 days agoSavannah is my pet sitter and I cannot say enough great things about her. She truly has a heart for pets. She not only did all the normal things of cleaning my cat's litter and playing with him, but she also recharged his toys, found his toys for him when he would kick them under the furniture, cleaned his bowl after giving him his gel supplement so the residue would not stick, combed him and just loved on him. The pictures and videos show her true love and show my cat's true love for her. This is the second time Savannah has watched my kitty cat and there will certainly be many more times in the future. I highly recommend Savannah! Thank you for caring!

My kitty is a little shy and needs meds 2x per day, but Teri and Savannah are incredibly trustworthy and gentle. I get cute updates every visit with pictures, I never worry, and feel comfortable when we're away knowing my cat loves her sitters 😻

They go above and beyond to help and really have extensive knowledge about animals - our vet even recommended them recently to help give fluids to our cat. Teri B is especially caring. I can always count on our pet sitters.

Teri not only stops by to make sure our fur babies are fed and given their medication, she’ll stay and snuggle with them and take lots of pictures to send us in her visit report. She cares for our pets as if they were her own, which is just what you hope any sitter would do.

When we had to leave town unexpectedly for a family emergency this past week, Teri rearranged her schedule to make sure our kitties were cared for. Her kindness, flexibility, and genuine love for our kittys gave us complete peace of mind during a stressful time! On a previous trip, Leah noticed a gas leak in our home while caring for our cats. She immediately alerted us, aired out the house, and stayed until the technician from Xcel Energy arrived and addressed the situation. One of our cats is very shy and it is so comforting to see pictures of her warming up and accepting pets. It is reassuring to be away knowing that she feels comfortable and safe. Kristen Pearson146 days agoMy husband and I had a great first experience using Distinctive Pet Care while we were away on vacation. The initial set up process was thorough and made us feel at ease. From our first meet and greet with our pet sitter, Amy, we knew our pups were in great hands. We loved that the platform was easy to use and that we received photos, a check-list and some notes from every visit. We have to give a huge shoutout to our sitter, Amy! She is the best. Our pups are pretty spoiled and can be very stubborn about some things but she never gave up on them and was very patient. She went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable, ate their food (even when they went on food strike) and had all the cuddles during her visits with them. We couldn’t be more thankful to have had her in our home and taking care of our babies.

Leslie Wank164 days agoAlways feel so relaxed knowing my pups are being taken care of so well! Nothing worse than going on vacation and being worried about your 4legged family!!! Terri B and Kathy are the best!! I was suppose to be away during these visits,however I fractured my tibia and was home, however kept the scheduled dog walks/visits due to my limited mobility. I was able to see the excitement in my dogs when Terri and Kathy came to the door! Just reinforced the trust I have in them and this company! My dogs thought of them as family!!!😁

She visits several times a week, and my Yorkie gets so excited every time he sees her—it’s honestly the best reassurance that he’s in great hands. She is incredibly kind, compassionate, and attentive, always aware of her surroundings and very conscientious in how she cares for him. Teri has been an absolute godsend for my kitties. She treats them like her own!! Julie218 days agoSavannah watched our kitties, frog and home. It was such a relief to be able to leave town and know everything was being well cared for!!! She left us a report with photos every single day so we never had to worry. We came home to happy pets and a clean cat box!!! From the first moment we met Teri, we were comfortable that our cats would be well cared for. She was so warm and kind and the cats reacted positively. Always a good sign. From the questions she asked, it was obvious that she had experience. We also appreciated Dawn the owner's follow up after our return. We will definitely be using Distinctive Pet Care whenever we travel.

Meghan Dillow246 days agoTeri is wonderful! It is always hard to leave my 2 dogs when I travel, but I have no worries because Teri takes such great care of them! She is reliable, trustworthy, and sends me photos/updates daily, which my kids and I love reading. My dogs are always calm and happy when I get home. I highly recommend Distinctive Pet Care.

Tish Harris283 days agoOur experience was fantastic! Days before our trip out of state for Christmas, our cat ate a ball and needed emergency surgery. We found distinctive pet care and explained the situation and they helped us work out a plan. They truly went above and beyond to care for our cats while we were gone. Teri’s updates really gave us piece of mind especially knowing someone was checking to make sure our cat was recovering from surgery. The last couple years Teri has taken care of Bailey, our Boston Terrier. He is very active and Teri plays with him and loves him like he's her own. She always sends us notes and pictures that shows us how much he loves having her there. We never worry when she's taking care of our little guy. In fact, he's a little bummed when we come home!+0

I was traveling out of state and was a little anxious leaving my two puppies, who require a lot of love and attention. But Lindsay was absolutely amazing — she was super communicative, incredibly attentive, and really put me at ease from the start. She sent regular updates, photos, and made sure I knew how my pups were doing every step of the way. It’s clear she truly cares, and she went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable, happy, and well cared for. She takes such great care of our cats, always sends pics and an update. She’s helped us out several times on short notice. She takes time to get to know your animals and their personalities. We know our house and home are in good care. The app that DPC has for scheduling, payment, and communicating is easy and convenient- I can manage it all from my phone.

Robin Kerley566 days agoHighly Recommend! I can't say enough about Distinctive Pet Care, I began using them 7-8 years ago and have had only great, positive experiences. My original pet sitter retired and so for the last few years we've had Teri and she is amazing. My cat loves her (a little too much, i'm jealous!) and I know she is in great hands when Teri is with her. I love the option to have an overnight visit so that my cat isn't alone all night and has someone there when she goes to sleep and when she wakes up, that let me sleep easier on vacation knowing my little furbaby isn't alone. She sends pics and a detailed message to me every night and morning which allows me to enjoy my vacations instead of stressing over my little girl. They are an excellent company to use and as long as they are around we will continue to use them.

Deanna Mitchell809 days agoChloe did an excellent job of providing 4 mid-day visits. She was faithful in giving me a report (with pictures) each day. When my flight home got canceled, she agreed to visit on the 5th day. The web portal is easy to send emails, payments, etc. I’ll use again and I highly recommend.

Every morning I woke up to a full daily report of her visit including updates on what she did each visit and how our cat was doing, with a few cute pictures as well. She was thoughtful in taking care of the house and was very responsive in the communication portal. Erin Bryan2381 days agoWe LOVE our pet sitter, Kathy! It can be so nerve wrecking to find someone you trust to come into your home and take care of your pets, and we are so thankful for her! One of our pets is prone to medical issues and has been on lots of different medications and food. Each time we have to leave them we know Kathy can handle it and follow new and specific directions. We also LOVE getting a picture of them every time she comes to visit!+0

Heather Lucas2395 days agoWe have used Distinctive pet care several times over the last few years. We have used them for many different type of visits, from brief "mid day potty breaks" for random long work days, to two week long trips for mom and dad to go to Europe where they visit three times a day. It is never easy leaving our babies behind but DPC (specifically Cheryl (retired now) and Nikki) are AMAZING. They are responsible, keep us well informed and ease our minds when we have to leave them behind. I am so grateful for their service and commitment to our pets. I have a12 week old puppy and travel A LOT for work which would be very difficult if not for Fran and Holly. They do daily visits, overnight sitting and training. They are amazing with her and REALLY love her and care about her development and happiness.....it feels like family (only better because Fran is such a fabulous trainer) I would pay them twice as much as they charge for everything they have done for me and my sweet puppy!!!! Rebecca Belik2778 days agoDistinctive Pet Care and Julie have been caring for my two senior dogs with all the love and cuddles I could ask for from a sitter. Julie has done overnight stays and mid-day walks for me. One of my pets is diabetic and requires timed insulin shots. The other is a puppy mill survivor and very nervous around new people. Julie has gone above and beyond to meet my dog's medical needs. Her patience and consistent care have helped to bring my shy dog out of her nervous shell. She now will run up to the door to meet Julie knowing there is a walk and a snuggle waiting. Wendy G2805 days agoI love Distinctive Pet Care! We used them when we were out of town for five nights on vacation, and they had a fantastic in home sitter stay every night and another check in mid-afternoons every day. They sent pictures and an e-mail report every day both for the mid-day and the overnights, which was a huge relief to me. One of my dogs has abandonment issues, so coming home to see her so normal and happy was AMAZING! We will definitely use them every single time we go out of town or need a pet sitter.

We've had one adverse situation with one pet sitter some years ago, but the company acted professionally and did the right thing. We've confidently continued our service with DPC and have had no further issues since that occasion. The friends and amateurs I have used cannot compare to the care and attention given by the DPC sitters . DPC sitters are all wonderful, and I think over the nine years, I have had at least six different DPC sitters. They take good notes on our first contact, and then leave detailed notes for me about each visit on a log. Dawn has been very responsive to all my requests, calling me back within a few hours. Loving pet care
Lindsay M. took care of our dog and cat while we were out of town for a few days. She sent daily updates, including videos of our animals at play. I'm afraid we're very detail-oriented people and Lindsay put up with our 9-page house- and pet-sitting instructions. I know the animals enjoyed her company because Wendell (the dog) was a little bored with us when we returned (he was obviously being entertained a lot in our absence) and the cat came out of hiding for Lindsay by the morning after Lindsay's first night with them - for our little shy kitty that is high praise. When we returned it was apparent that they were reassured and shown a lot of affection. The cat did pout under the bed for about a half-hour after we got home, but that was just to show us that she was in charge. I would definitely not hesitate to contact Distinctive Pet Care again.

Excellent Pet Care
Dee Cora has taken care of our cat Lily on two separate occasions and we can tell she paid a lot of attention and catered to Lily's eccentricities. We let Dee know what Lily likes, how she likes to be comforted, how she plays, her food preferences, etc..., and we can tell Dee spent quality time with her because when we get back, Lily is not mad at us and not stressed at all - just happy to see us.

Terri S is fabulous!
Our sitter is Terri S and she’s the perfect match for our very shy kitty who needs a lot of pills. She also gives our other friendly kitty plenty of playtime and affection. Neither of them seem at all phased or unsettled when we come home from a trip. It’s so good to be able to rely on her. She’s a very tenacious and caring sitter! 😌

Terri S is a Mercedes of a cat sitter
Terri S is a gem . I worry about my cats. Terri’s help me stop that. She has a Mercedes of cat sitters. She sent me pictures and detail information about what my cats did down to the last tablespoon of food left and eaten the next morning. My neighbors even complemented her always being there. They are very impressed I am impressed my cats love her and soda why she’s wonderful and everybody should be so lucky to have Terri as a cat sitter!!

Terri S Is The Best!
We recently went out of town for a few days and were lucky enough to have Terri S come over twice a day to look in on our 2 boys, Bubba and Buster. Both orange tabby cats. We absolutely love our cats and are always worried when leaving them. Terri put our minds at ease every visit with text messages and service reports that were informative as well as humorous and made us feel like we were right here at home with them. I cannot praise Terri enough for the great job she did with our babies. They were definitely happy to see us when we got home but it was apparent they had been well cared for while we were away.

Terri S is Amazing
Terri is an amazing sitter. She sends thoughtful and descriptive messages daily about our two cats when we are out of town. My husband and I look forward to her daily messages. You can tell she definitely cares about the animals and has fun with the job. She is very communicative if there are issues and is very respectful of our apartment. Holly is AMAZING
Holly visits my fur babies 2 times a week. They adore her, as do I! I have such peace of mind knowing Lucy, Chester and Sweetpea are getting attention, lots of love and of course ... treats! Chester is an ornery cat that Holly has gotten to stand on his hind paws! And Lucy, she knows when I say it’s a “Holly Day”, that she’s going to spend time with “her” Holly! And Sweetpea loves to cuddle and I know she loves those Holly snuggles!
